Eat that Frog with a Pomodoro
Francesco Cirillo developed the Pomodoro Technique in the late 1980s as a time management method. The system employs a timer to divide work into 25-minute intervals separated by short breaks. After the completion of the 4 duration, you will get a long break of 15 to 20 minutes. Tomatoes are referred to as “Pomodoro” in Italian.
I wanted to use the “Eat the Frog with a Pomodoro” strategy in my everyday life after learning about it. I decided to write a blog post as an assignment assigned by the program manager of the Amal Fellowship.

1- Was this experiment difficult for you or not that difficult?
Yes! This experiment was difficult for me because I am having a low consistent disorder in my personality towards my work. So When I tried to experience this activity I was very excited because I have tried a lot of other experiments to increase my consistent time towards my work.
This time I tried to write a home assignment for Railway Engineering. When I started this experiment then the very same distraction social media, family distractions as well as my own procrastinated mind also distract me. In the 1st 25 minutes, I only worked for 7 to 8 minutes after that my elder brother passed by me and asked me about my result of an academic subject Highway Engineering. Then I started to talk with him for 15 to 16 minutes. In the meanwhile, the Pomodoro clock rings, and I remember I was experimenting with a technique.

After this event, I got up with firm determination to do this technique effectively and move towards a room where family distractions could not approach me. Then again I set my alarm on my mobile clock and start to work on my assignment. This time I thought about my logo design which I have to complete by 9 pm, I wrote this on paper and again started to work on my Railway Engineering Task. This time I completed my 1st 25 minutes tenure of Pomodoro technique and felt very happy as well as contended.
In the same manner, after a 5 minutes break, I also completed the 2nd 25 minutes with some family problem thoughts distraction, but I put aside these thoughts and continued my work wholeheartedly. After completion of 2nd tenure, there was a two-star on the paper which became the source of motivation to form the other two stars. In the fourth 25 minutes duration of the Pomodoro technique, I also observed a social media distraction but I think I will check out this notification in the long break of 15 minutes.
After the 1 hour and 25 minutes of Pomodoro technique, I have completed the ½ part of my REassignment and feel very happy and content.
2- Did it help you accomplish more or about the same?
This technique helped me accomplish 3 times more efficiently in the context of time as well as quality than the normal working behavior.
3- Do you plan on doing this again regularly, and what will you do to improve the experience?
Yes! Obviously, I will adopt this technique to accomplish my daily goals in a very effective manner. Because this technique saves a lot of time in my work schedule.
From today’s experience, I observed that I have to stay in my study room whenever I want to study in spite of sitting in a TV lounge or any other room. Which will help me to stay away from family distractions.
2ndly I think that I will use the Digital timer of the watch rather than the mobile Alarm because when I see my mobile or my life partner, my heart is compelled to love it. So I decided to put my phone 40 feet away from my chair so that I could only approach whenever I get a long break.

Time is money, So use it wisely…
